Mini Opera browser brims with features

New mini Opera browser has new services and faster page loading times

Written by David Neal

Opera has released a mini version of its mobile web browser, called imaginatively, Opera Mini.

Like Yahoo's OneSearch Opera Mini, in this case the Opera Mini 4.1 beta preview, is a scaled down browser designed to work on mobile phones and portable devices..

Included in the release are handing time saving features, such as an auto complete function for URLs, and the ability to save a page for viewing offline – useful when you may be about to lose the connection. Opera Link also works with Mini 4.1, letting users synchronise a mobile phone's web links with those on their desktop computer.

Another bonus is much faster response times, Opera said, claiming load times up to four times faster than before.
