EMC updates configuration management tools

VoyenceControl 4.0 includes new modelling, reporting and compliance

Written by Rosalie Marshall

EMC has announced the availability of its VoyenceControl configuration management tools, designed to ease the management of enterprise IT infrastructure.

VoyenceControl 4.0 includes new compliance and reporting engines. The compliance engine is able to identify both configuration issues with devices on the network and potential regulatory conflicts within the entire IT infrastructure. The report engine provides improved capabilities to generate customised reports.

VoyenceControl helps companies keep pace with the increasing complexity of the IT environment, said Chris Gahagan, senior vice president at EMC's resource management software unit.

“With the introduction of EMC VoyenceControl 4.0, we continue to help our customers reduce the complexities of their IT environments by enabling them to take a highly automated approach to IT management.”

VoyenceControl is designed to work alongside resource management tools, such as EMC Smarts. EMC insisted that it will also integrate with third-party resource management tools.
