VKernel to make virtual datacentre management easier

VKernel is to release new systems management tools for dealing with VMware environments

Written by David Neal

The VKernel Corporation has this morning announced new systems management tools for dealing with VMware ESX environments. The VKernel Virtual Advantage system using a series of tools and virtual appliances to ease problem solving in the virtual datacentre.

VKernel said that the growth in datacenters, both in size and in usage had prompted the launch. “As organizations rapidly virtualize their data centers, they are experiencing a whole new set of systems management challenges which cannot be solved today with traditional tools in an acceptable timeframe,” said Alex Bakman, founder and chief executive of VKernel.

“At the core of VKernel’s mission is a new ‘pay only for the features you need to instantly solve problems’ systems management approach that completely differs from today’s expensive bloatware offerings with features nobody uses . Our virtual appliances eliminate complexity, immediately deliver actionable information, and significantly save time – assuring virtualization is successful.”

The system has an easy to use dashboard, and will, the firm said, regularly update itself.
