Autonomy software chief executive says sub-prime litigation will boost their earnings

If financial services companies become embroiled in litigation following on from the sub-prime credit crunch, archiving expert Autonomy stands to benefit.

That was the view of Autonomy chief executive Mike Lynch who said yesterday that the software his company provides to retrieve emails and electronic records would be in high demand if litigation materialised.

Lynch told the FT that Autonomy had won customers 'all along the financial services chain' as the sector prepared for sub-prime litigation.
