Cash Inn pub quiz victim of credit crunch

Jasper Carrott’s online pub quiz has fallen victim to the credit crunch

Written by AccountancyAge.com

Jasper Carrott’s online pub quiz Cash Inn is out of cash, forcing parent company Innterplay to explore ‘refinancing and restructuring’ options.

It is believed technical issues, now resolved, forced the suspension of the quiz four weeks after it went live at the beginning of December, The Publican reports.

Accountancy firm BDO Stoy Hayward is advising Innterplay on ways to return to profit and has been seeking fresh investment to bail out the project. The Cash Inn show, was beamed out to pubs where customers could compete for prizes of up to £10,000.

BDO Stoy Hayward said it was ‘currently working with directors in an advisory capacity looking at opportunities for further investment in the business’.
