Guardium appoints Computerlinks

Database security vendor unveils Computerlinks as its first UK distributor

Doug Woodburn, CRN 28 Jan 2008

Database security and compliance vendor Guardium has appointed Computerlinks as its first UK distributor.

Computerlinks has been charged with recruiting a select number of reseller partners on behalf of the US-based vendor, whose security platform is designed to stop information leaks from the data centre and enforce change controls.

Guardium’s technology aims to prevent unauthorised activities by potential hackers, privileged insiders and end-users of applications such as Oracle and SAP.

David Ellis, director of e-Security, professional services and training at
Computerlinks, said the distributor plans to mark the launch of the partnership with a series of technical and commercial trainings sessions.

“Database security is on the agenda for all businesses and Guardium is the market leader for large heterogeneous environments with an exciting roadmap of innovation planned,” he added.

Crayson Jenkins, director EMEA at Guardium, said: “Computerlinks was carefully selected given its proven track record, reach and strong professional services and training capability.

“This agreement with Computerlinks will enable us to help UK resellers find simple ways to secure their client¹s enterprise data and pass audits.”
