BT eases on demand CRM deployment for smaller firms

BT has partnered with Netsuite and SugarCRM to ease on demand adoption

David Neal, IT Week 22 Apr 2008

British Telecom is partnering with on-demand CRM firms Netsuite and SugarCRM in order to offer its small and medium-sized business customers hosted applications.

BT said that the partnerships with the two firms would let it offer enterprise-class applications that fit neatly into existing communications and data systems and enable the quick roll out of customer relationship management solutions.

"[This programme] allows us to deliver a tailored approach for customers, so they get exactly what they need to manage their customer relationships, examine processes, deliver efficiencies and ultimately drive their business – all from a single supplier they trust," said Bill Murphy, managing director at BT Business.

The Netsuite solution is available now, and SugarCRM will follow shortly. BT said that it was looking at other vendor solutions too, with a view to rolling them out to its customers in future.
