Q Is there a way to print CD track lists without typing
them? I have lots of songs to save to CDs or DVDs. Can I put the titles of
tracks into Microsoft Word or another program by copying and pasting them, so
that I can easily print them?

A Annoyingly, Microsoft hasn’t built a track-listing feature into Windows Media Player. You could use a disc-creation program such as Nero Burning Rom or Roxio Easy Media Creator, both of which can write music discs and automatically create track listings.
Alternatively, iTunes can burn discs and export track information as a text file (go to the File menu, click on Export and select Text from the ‘Save as type’ dropdown menu. You could then print the text file, although it’s inelegant as the file includes unnecessary data, so you’ll have to delete that before printing.
If you prefer to stick with Media Player, there is a plug-in that will do the job. Download and install the Windows Media Player 9 Series Winter Fun Pack 2003. This will install the Media Info Exporter plug-in. Although it says Media Player 9 it will work with more recent editions.
Once it’s installed, right-click on a playlist or an album in the Media Player library, click on Send To in the menu, and select Media Info Exporter. This will create a text file with the track listing. If you have Excel, it will open the file so you can print it. This can be changed by going to the Tools menu, clicking on Plug-ins, then Media Info Exporter, and Properties.
