Marks & Spencer has signed a £19m, five-year managed services deal with Computacenter covering more than 4000 users across six UK sites.

The aim is to improve the firm's flexibility by providing better access to core technology, tools and processes.

M&S head of infrastructure Damone Quigley said: “The partnership with Computacenter Services will enable us to align IT more closely to the business and deliver tangible results at lower and predictable costs.”

The contract specifies 10 areas of service including release management and security administration. The supplier will also provide environmentally-friendly hardware configurations and disposal plan.
