Michelin outsources application development

Logica will provide software development and support under three-year contract

Written by Angelica Mari

Tyre manufacturer Michelin has signed a three-year contract with supplier Logica for the provision of systems development and IT consulting services.

Business areas to be covered by the vendor include finance and purchase reporting, supply chain management, marketing and sales – including a customer relationship management system – across Europe and North America.

The contract will see the development and rollout of integrated systems across the
group to boost efficiency, flexibility and responsiveness levels, as well as optimising cost. Michelin has the option to renew the contract for a further three-year period.
