SNIA celebrates a perfect ten

Storage Networking Industry Association celebrates decade in IT industry

Written by Kayleigh Bateman in Frankfurt

The Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA) Europe threw an anniversary party at Storage Networking World (SNW) Europe in Frankfurt, to celebrate ten years in the IT industry.

To complement the milestone at the start of October, SNIA launched new branding, which included a web site re-design and a new logo in support of its forward-looking mission and future vision.

Vincent Franceschini, chairman and board of directors at SNIA Europe, said: “We’ve enjoyed the last ten years and are looking forward to the next ten too.”

“SNIA wants to continue in empowering organisations in the management of information and addressing data storage. It’s about providing the right data at the right time and helping companies manage that data,” he added.

Juergen Arnold, director at SNIA Europe, said: “An important evolution for the industry and an important evolution for SNIA, is understanding that it’s not just about a server, for example, it’s about the whole network. Integrated management is the key to your IT infrastructure.”
