Networking and security distributor
Computerlinks has added
Siemens Enterprise
Communications' HiPath Wireless portfolio to its unified communications
offering.
Computerlinks' e-business portfolio already includes wired infrastructure products from Citrix, Ipswitch’s WhatsUp Gold monitoring system for wireless LANs and Juniper’s authentication products.
This is a significant deal, argued David Caughtry, e-business director at
Computerlinks, because demand for mobile access to data, voice and video is
booming.
“A flexible wireless LAN-WAN backbone becomes crucial [in these
circumstances],” he said. “The HiPath meets the wireless LAN user's need for a
flexible and mobile working environment.”
In Computerlinks, Siemens has a partner with the experience to give accurate
advice and support to the channel, argued Leon Mangan, sales director of
indirect channels at Siemens Enterprise Communications
"The fit could not be better and I am very excited about the opportunity this presents both companies,” he said.
