Gomez improves web site reliability

ExperienceFirst platform from Gomez will help firms better assess their web applications

Written by Phil Muncaster

Web performance management specialist Gomez will today launch the first product of its new ExperienceFirst platform, designed to help firms better assess the reliability of their web applications.

ActualExperience XF is an on-demand product that lets firms measure the user experience directly from a browser. Gomez’s Imad Mouline said this helps them to understand the effects of complex application delivery environments.

“More and more content is delivered straight to browsers, bypassing the traditional infrastructure that was under the direct control of IT,” Mouline said. “Big chunks of functionality are now being delivered by third parties under your brand and the pressure is on to deliver a better experience.”

Gomez aims to offer an end-to-end web app management suite, from design through to analysis. “The metrics have to be a lot more sophisticated,” Mouline said.
