Written by David Neal

Google has announced the release of a new iPhone application that lets users access all of its tools through a single interface.

The Safari platform made it easy for Google to develop the applications, it said, in this case using its browser technologies such as AJAX. In a statement the firm called it an "optimal Google experience". The applications in the mobile applications include Mail, Calendar, News, Docs, and search.

To access the application iPhone users need only access the Google web site
