Interwoven improves mobility

WorkSite Mobility now available to any web-enabled device

Written by Phil Muncaster

Content management provider Interwoven has rolled out new capabilities to give firms with mobile workers more flexibility in finding and managing enterprise content.

The latest version of its WorkSite Mobility product is now available to users of any web–enabled device through the browser, according to the firm. Previously only BlackBerry users were able to use the service.

WorkSite Mobility is designed to help users access client files, collaborate with colleagues, manage their emails, and share information with clients through their smart phones including those running on Windows Mobile, Symbian and Palm.

“What’s most important to us is that we now have a reliable way of retaining information relating to a matter in the one place,” said David Kelly, director of information systems at Morrison Cohen LLP, in a statement supporting the release. “People in our firm spend much of their working time away from their desks, so a centralised electronic matter file just wasn’t practical without smart phone integration."
