NetBenefit hosts Windows Server 2008

Hosting provider adds Microsoft Server 2008 to its roster

Written by David Neal

Managed hosting firm NetBenefit has started offering a hosted Windows Server 2008 platform, targeted at firms offering media rich web applications.

The firm worked with both Microsoft and Dell before launching the service and hopes that customers will adopt the platform for its many new features and capabilities, including boosted security, application management and Hyper-V virtualization tools.
NetBenefit has collaborated closely with Microsoft to fully understand what this new generation of Windows Server means for the web applications of today,” said Jonathan Robinson, chief operating officer at NetBenefit.

“Our engineers have worked with their counterparts at both Microsoft and Dell to best understand how important new technologies like Hyper-V and IIS 7 (Internet Information Services) will provide our clients with a more secure, flexible and scalable hosting environment."
