Network software vendor Ipswitch has unveiled the latest version of its popular network management package, WhatsUP Gold, promising better real-time information of network performance.
WhatsUp Gold v12 includes a new email monitor, upgraded simple network management protocol tools, and new web-based network tools. The software's workspace view includes 12 new real-time reports which can compare historical data in order to evaluate critical network information
A new feature, called InstantInfo also allows device usage data to be viewed in real-time by hovering the cursor over device links, such as hard drives or network interfaces.
Microsoft Vista support as been added, both as a monitored operating system and as the WhatsUp Gold host system.
"WhatsUp Gold v12 enables network engineers to take a proactive and predictive approach to network management so their networks stay healthy and continue facilitating business growth," said Warren Neuburger, president of Ipswitch's network management division in a statement.
All editions are available now, with the Standard and Premium versions priced at £1,358 + VAT and £1,766 + VAT respectively, for monitoring 100 devices.
The Distributed and MSP versions are priced at £2,106 + VAT and £1,766 + VAT for central site installs to monitor 100 devices respectively, and £609 + VAT and £1,029 + VAT for remote site installs, able to monitor 25 and 5 devices respectively.
Customers with active service agreements for version 11, get version 12 free.
